People have this new stereotype against asian girls, why do they do this to asian people?
I want to get married someday in the future to a girl in an arranged marriage and people are stop me from getting a wife. I was having problems with dating girls and my mother helped me out by arranging an marriage, arranged marriages is a vietnamese culture tradition. It is common for a parent to arrange their child’s marriage and most of the arranged marriage turn out successfully. People keep on saying that the girl will leave me for someone else when she gets to america, I know that will not happen because my cousin got married 10 years ago and is still married today. They keep on saying I will either end up with an ugly wife or my wife will end up leaving me. I’m 19 years old and I am very desperate and I want a girl in my life. How can I not let these folks get to me ?? Those people who say that are Vietnamese American people and White Caucasian people and Black people. They said I’m a loser and I have no game if I can’t get a girl on my own and end up getting into an arranged marriage. This is a cultural normal thing for a vietnamese parent to arrange a marriage for their child when they are having problems. In my culture everyone gets married and no one stays single so I’m glad to be Vietnamese otherwise I would end up single for the rest of my life.
It might work, or it mightn’t. Nobody can know, including you. If it doesn’t you’ll just have to do whatever comes next.
A lot of anonymous strangers on the Internet second-guessing your life and future isn’t going to help one way or the other.
Do whatever’s best from your own perspective and live with whatever the consequences are. It’s life.

At 19 it is not normal to be looking for a wife, better to be having fun and making friends, stop being so desperate.

Hun, you are SO young! Why are you so hung up on marriage at your age? You’re putting a lot of pressure and expectations upon a relationship yet to be formed and I think any girl would find it hard to cope with that! Irrespective of whether you find a girl yourself or your parents do it for you, you should enjoy a little freedom whilst you can. With marriage comes responsibility – and that lasts a lifetime. What is it you think marriage can do for you? Is it friendship, love, sex, stability? And if you bring a young Vietnamese girl to the US, she will need an awful lot of emotional support from you. Do you realise that? It’s something a man ten years older than you would struggle with because it can involve depression, terrible unhappiness, home-sickness…all kinds of emotional problems.
If you intend making such a huge commitment at your age, then you need to know your own mind and be mature enough to ignore negative remarks. I don’t think you’re at that point yet, and I think you yearn for marriage for all the wrong reasons.
Why not spend a little time going out in to the world and having fun, meet new people, set yourself some new challenges, and then see how you feel?

u shouldnt be worried about getting married at ur age. go to college. u dont need game to get a girl, just beer. if u want to try to force a girl into marrying u go live in vietnam. u cant make a girl love u…she might tolorate u…thats not cool. try e-harmony. after reading ur question i can honestly say its not a question..u basically want people reading this to think ur not a loser and for them to think that its ok to enter into a loveless union for the rest of ur life with a girl that might hate u. ..sorry…most people are not going to aprove…

Its just different here that’s all no offense to you I’m sure. I think its nice that you will have your parents select a girl for you. I ‘m sure they will pick out a lovely one. So don’t worry. Just be a gentleman to her at all times. Be patient and loving and honest. Be a good provider and take care of her and she will take care of you. Treat her like an angel and she will never leave you.
