The town of Tours

Tours is a French town located within the area of Loire Valley,
surrounded by the Cher River and the Loire River, at about 65
miles from Orleans and 125 miles southwest from Paris. This town
is the capital city of the French department Indre et Loire, and
is particularly famous throughout the region by its great
cuisine and excellent wine.

The town of Tours owes its name to a tribe which had been the
main inhabitants of the area several decades BC. This tribe was
called the Turons, lost their establishment in the area after
the Romans époque, and this town went through several different
situations and denominations, until it was finally recognized as
tours.

During the III century, the town of Tours was known Caesar’s
Hill. Around this époque, this town became highly known
throughout the region by being home of a recognized bishopric.
From that moment, tours started becoming more popular and known
around the rest of the region as well as started receiving more
new inhabitants than it would before.

In the decade of 370, the town of Tours was named capital of
Lyonaise. Lyonaise was an important province to which several
other recognized cities were part of, such as for example,
Maine, Anjou and Touraine. During this époque, the town of tours
as well as the surrounding region was mainly known due to the
Christian community established in it.

During the V century, Tours changed its former name to City of
the Tourones. This was the last name known before the actual
one, tours, since it actually was the denomination which gave
birth to it. During that same century the town went through some
dramatic moments, such as for example, being invaded by the
Visigoths.

Nowadays, the town of Tours is not only very rich in history but
also in architecture, ornaments, arts, and antique
constructions. There are buildings dating from many of the
different historic stages this town has gone through, and
walking around it can be a great way to learn about the past and
the architectural styles which would characterize each different
ancient époque

The bathhouse was finished and ready for a most important visitor. The Legion was prepared with armour polished. Flags fluttered in the breeze bearing the symbols of a mighty power. Into the city rode Constantius Emperor of Rome. Alongside rides his son Constantine.

The journey is ill fated and Constantinus dies. Constantine is declared new Emperor of Imperial Rome and crowned. The year is 306 and the place is Eboracum, the great city known today as York.

Constantine goes on to become the most influential Roman Emperor in history. He converted to Christianity and presided over the writing of the Nicean Creed, which formed the basic religious dogma of the Christian world.

York Minster
The spot where Constantine was crowned can be found beneath York Minster. Walking into this colossal space takes your breath away. As you strain your neck to see the high vaulted ceilings, you wonder at the people who built such awesome gothic structures.

Those who began work on it would not live to see it completed 250 years later. You can spend hours here looking at the stain glass windows and reading burial inscriptions or sitting in quiet reflection at the dedication of the people who built such monuments to God.

The Shambles
A visit to the Shambles takes you to the oldest and most famous street in York. It is extremely narrow and the houses are tightly packed together seeming to touch at the top. They seem to have been built for tiny people so watch your head when entering. Look down for the original hooks used for cleaning boots.

The word ‘Shambles’ originally means ‘butcher’ and in medieval times the street was full of butchers’ shops. One of the wives of these butcher’s was St Margaret Clitherow who was martyred in 1586. You need to look out or you might miss a tiny shrine dedicated to her memory.

Jorvik Viking Centre
It is well worth visiting the Jorvik Viking Centre where you can experience the sights, sounds and smells of Viking York.

A superb series of reconstructions bring the world of the Vikings to life. Experience archaeology in action with the simulated dig. Great fun for kids of all ages!

Castle Museum
The Castle Museum was originally a female and debtors prison. Since 1935 it has been home to the collections of Dr. J. T. Kirk who donated them to the city of York. Here you can walk down a Victorian cobbled street complete with hansom cab or visit authentic shop fronts displaying wares from the period.

For those interested in all things military, there is an impressive collection of firearms, uniforms and medals. Children will be fascinated by the collection of children’s toys.

Kings Manor
Dating back to the sixteenth century, Henry V111 and Catherine Howard are likely to have stayed here. It was the residence of the King’s Council. Remains from the Tudor period still remain including an impressive fireplace. Today the building is part of the University of York.

The walled city of York has so much to offer with historical landmarks at every turn. It is popular amongst tourists and gets very busy during the summer months. If you plan to stay overnight, do book somewhere to stay in advance. When I went, I ended up staying in a motorway hotel as literally everywhere was booked up!

Dating Russian Women – a Guide for the Mature Man

Depending on your physical and mental conditions, a man’s libido and desire is as much or more when he is over 40 than when he is younger.

A guy over 40 may be divorced, or a widower, or just a single who is still looking.

A lot of guys in this situation find women close to their own age, but some (and more now with the advent of the “sex potential pills”) are looking for girls in their 20s.

The internet has made this kind of a search easy, and a lot of relationships, and marriages have come about.

Younger women and mature guys

From the other standpoint, a lot of young women are divorced early, or couldn’t hold a younger guy (for whatever reason) and so the internet has turned into a meeting place for people looking for love and relationships.

Actually, it seems the ladies are not concerned about the age difference and magically a relationship takes off.

The psyche of Russian women

Sometimes an older guy’s financial situation can add to the allure of a loving relationship. Girls that really don’t have any prejudice about an older guy’s age are women from the former Soviet Union

These women are often beautiful, eager to fix their lives, and had enough sex already with younger men to satisfy them for a lifetime.

As to the benefits for an older guy in these situation, the very young woman will make him her feel younger and act younger.

In fact the older guy will act younger and take more care of himself. He will also watch his weight, blood pressure, take care of any other old chronic problems (if possible), and armed with the new pills, he can perform like a guy in his teens. The

Russian women know this very well, and encourage the pill’s use.

Naturally the guy is not a young man, but can make up for it (to his woman) in terms of wisdom, security and taking the easy approach to sex. The woman gets a man who is not in a hurry, and does a lot of foreplay to make sure his erections are strong enough. This is a big plus for the woman. All these factors are.

The women if clever also take time to pamper their man, especially Russian women. This is one reason the marriage rate is so high after starting a relationship.

Besides the security that everything will think is behind the marriage is something more powerful. She wants to love and be loved. Her younger man would have been pre-occupied with himself. Her older guy has his life in order, and can devote his love and attention to her.

The older guy should read books like the Kama Suta or the articles on our site to find the best positions and love strategies for keeping the affair interesting.

He has time to do that, where a younger man would not. The benefits to the young Russian woman are then an experience lover who can adapt his physical and emotional condition to her desires.

The experience factor

This is the “experience factor” that give the older guy the ability to understanding his young partner, and to stimulate and satisfy her in ways she might have never experienced before.

The young Russian woman will appreciate this and reward her older partner in ways he may have never dreamed of, or had dreamed of and his dream will come true.

Find your true love in the east

The guy over 50 is also advised to study sexual Tantra and other methods to compensate for his lack of youth.

With this study and perhaps his new found chemical assistant, he can enter into a loving, stimulating and rewarding experience with his young Russian woman.

Pop Music Bubblegum Kings: Where Are They Now?

Pop music bubblegum kings have a history that traces back to the 80s when groups like the New Kids on the Block, and New Edition became rather popular with audiences. In essence, these were the first boy bands to hit the scene. The term didnt quite catch on until pop music of the 90s became saturated with numerous male groups, such as the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC and MTVs own, O-Town. Today, while pop princesses dictate the airwaves, it brings one to ponder, where have all the American bubblegum pop music kings gone?

Backstreet Boys

You may not know this, but the pop music sensation in the 90s, the Backstreet Boys, are still alive and kicking and planning the release of a new album. The group, minus Kevin Richardson, has made a transition from their teen pop roots to more of a pop rock group. They now play their own instruments to supply their background music.

Through the middle of the 90s and 2000s, the Backstreet Boys enjoyed raging success across the world, provoking teenage girls to swoon at the very mention of their names. In the era of boy bands, they still hold the title of selling more albums than any other collaboration. Sadly, throughout the years, many of the group members have experienced personal ups and downs.

In 2001, member, AJ McLean, who had always been viewed as the bad boy of the quintet, became increasingly destructive. It was apparent that he was struggling with a few issues in his life, namely alcohol and drugs. In 2003, McLean made an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show with his mother. It was then that fellow group members arrived on air to show their support for him. They hadnt been together for about two years before this reunion.

Member Nick Carter gained brief attention for dating the infamous Paris Hilton for about a year. That ended in 2004 and all he got was a lousy Paris tattoo out of the deal, which he promptly exchanged for a skull and cross bones. In May of 2006, member, Brian Littrell released his first solo project, Welcome Home, which made a respected showing on the Billboard Christian Charts.

NSYNC

Feverishly trying to catch up with the popular Backstreet Boys, NSYNC enjoyed an admirable amount of success with numerous pop music hits. Shifting from teen pop to dance pop, the group had a nice run from 1995 to 2002. As of now, only two of the five original band members have produced solo albums: JC Chasez and the unforgettable Justin Timberlake. Additional group members included: Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick.

As of now, Joey Fatone has made a showing in numerous movie projects (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), in some of which he has worked with Lance Bass, who spends most of his time dealing with his film production company projects. Recently, he has admitted to his homosexual lifestyle and, currently, is even dating a former Survivor cast member. Kirkpatrick on the other hand has joined another band and has been playing live shows in California.

98 Degrees

Although Nick Lachey is better known for being the former husband of Jessica Simpson, he was first recognized as a member of the pop music boy band, 98 Degrees, along with his brother, Drew, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre. The group emerged on the scene in 1997, dabbling in pop, R&B and bubblegum pop. To date, the only solo projects produced by members of 98 Degrees have come from Nick Lachey (2003 and 2006) and Jeff Timmons (2004).

The group has been relatively quiet in terms of mainstream recognition, but a new album is in the works with brand new material to enjoy. Unlike other pop music groups, they intend to stick with what worked for them in the past.
